If you were a kid during the 80s and early 90s, you may recall that Nintendo was pretty strict about what games were allowed to be released on their consoles, which led to decisions like censoring the release of the original Mortal Kombat on SNES so that most of the fatalities were changed and all of the blood was removed. Games like Super Castlevania IV were also slightly censored and edited to remove depictions of blood.
While Nintendo eased off their restrictions on blood and violence back in the mid-90s, restrictions on sexual content were still in place, but that appears to have changed with the Nintendo Switch.
These days you can find all sorts of content on the eShop, including a myriad of games with sexual themed mature content that old-school Nintendo probably wouldn’t have approved of (if you recall, Nintendo gave testimony in front of the US Congress and said a game like Night Trap would never be on a Nintendo console… and now there are games that are WAY more mature than Night Trap ever was).
These days the Nintendo eShop is now filled with hundreds if not thousands of games, some which are completely innocent and some…that are… interesting (wink, wink)
I first noticed this shift in the games on the Nintendo eShop as I was researching my weekly Deals on Switch newsletter, and I would come across several of these “sexy games” each week, as there are generally always a few on sale at any given time. It got me wondering just how many games like this there were on the Nintendo eShop.
Now, I’d like to state for the record, that there is nothing wrong with mature content on Switch. Certainly video games are played by all ages these days, but given the family friendly image Nintendo has carefully cultivated for themselves, it’s kind of funny to see games like “Stuck with Naughty Housewives” or “Furry Hentai Tangram” on their console at all, let alone being sold through the official store.
Personally I think it’s really funny that Nintendo has relaxed its rules so much, after so many years of grandstanding back in the 90s. (I wonder why so many of these games highlight in their description that you can play with one hand? LMAO)

Ok, I think you get the point by now.
This list is by no means exhaustive. I ran into many many more games like this, but they all generally follow the same themes. I’m honestly wondering how some of these games play, or how far they actually go. If I end up getting any of them to try out (I’ll be sure to keep both hands on the Switch controller – LOL), I’ll certainly post an update.
